FAQ
Everything you're wondering.
How much does testosterone therapy cost at Apex Method?
Memberships start at $179/month and include your medication, quarterly labs, an annual heart and metabolic panel, supplies and unlimited follow-ups. Veterans and first responders save $20/month.
Is the first visit really free?
Yes. Your consult and point-of-care testosterone and PSA test are free. If you qualify and want to start, you can begin the same day.
Do I have to come in person?
Your first visit and baseline labs are in person in Holladay. After that, most follow-ups happen by video or text, with lab draws every quarter.
Do you offer peptides like BPC-157?
Not yet. We only prescribe FDA-approved medicines. An FDA advisory committee recommended in July 2026 that some peptides be allowed for compounding, but the FDA hasn't made that official. We'll update this page when it does.
Can I use my HSA or FSA?
In most cases, yes. Memberships, labs and prescriptions for a diagnosed condition are usually HSA/FSA eligible. We'll give you an itemized receipt.
Will you share my results with my doctor?
With your permission, yes. By default we send your lab results to your primary care doctor so your care stays connected.
Can my wife or partner join too?
Yes. The Household plan adds your partner for $99/month as medspa credit at our sister clinic, and takes 10% off your own membership.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Memberships are month to month. We'll help you taper off safely if you decide to stop treatment.
How do I know if I have low testosterone?
Symptoms alone aren't enough. We confirm with morning blood tests on two separate days, plus a look at related hormones, before recommending treatment.
Will testosterone affect my fertility?
It can. Testosterone therapy can lower sperm count. If you may want children, tell us at your first visit and we'll talk through fertility-preserving options first.
Is testosterone safe?
For men who truly need it and are monitored, it is a well-studied therapy. That's why every plan includes quarterly labs for red blood cell count (hematocrit), PSA and estradiol.
Do you take insurance?
We're cash-pay with transparent pricing, and most HSA/FSA cards work. We can give you a receipt to submit for out-of-network reimbursement.
Is the medication included in the price?
Our clinical program fee covers visits, labs and coaching. Branded medication is billed through your pharmacy or the manufacturer's cash-pay program, and we help you find the lowest price.
Why don't you offer compounded GLP-1s?
We only prescribe FDA-approved medicines. Compounded versions aren't FDA-approved, and quality varies between pharmacies.
Is ED treatment included in a membership?
Yes. Performance and Executive members can choose ED care as their included add-on. Foundation members can add it for $39/month.
Does finasteride affect testosterone?
It lowers DHT, not testosterone. A small number of men notice sexual side effects; we'll walk through the risks before you start.
Can I get labs without joining?
Yes. A standalone panel with a results review is available; the cost is credited if you join within 30 days.
